Starting to get over it!!

It seems like every time I actually have something to blog about something comes up preventing me from actually posting it!! If you have been following along you know that I have been sick.

It all started on Halloween. Yep that's right I was fine until then but on the actual holiday I get sick. I had to work in my son's class as one of three room parents. I show up and the main parent in charge is not there she is too sick to come in. At this point I still felt fine. We had a great time. We decorated sugar cookies and pumpkins. They had a whole workbook of coloring pictures and word finds. We even played pass the pumpkin. I was able to sneak out and check on my daughter and take pictures of both classes. Everything was going great. As we are leaving I suddenly realized that my head was splitting. Literally,I didn't even know if I could drive home. I did make it but then I ran to the bathroom and got violently ill. I took 3 Motrins, which seemed to help. We went to my friends for dinner then we walked around for trick-or-treating. The kids had a blast. We all got cold I still had a headache but not too bad.

The next morning I woke up with a cough not a real bad one but still a cough. By the time I got to work my head was starting to hurt again. By lunch I knew I was done for. I went home at 2 and slept till my husband got home then I sent him to go pick up the kids. I didn't get off the couch again until Friday morning.

When I woke up on Thursday my head was full of cotton I couldn't breathe out of my nose and I was coughing really bad.

I did go to work on Friday for about three hours for a manditory meeting but that was it. It is now Tuesday I still don't feel that great but I did work all day yesterday and I am here today.

Tonight I have conferences with the teachers and I hope to leave whatever I picked up there last week there for someone else. I know thats not very nice but I don't care. Thank you for all of the get well wishes and I hope to be back to normal soon.

You all have been coming to hear about my Halloween with the parties at school and trick-or-treating. But I can't. While I was at the school working the parties etc. I got a deliteful head cold I can't sit upright for any lenth of time. I can't think straight and apparintly I can't spell either. I will update on Monday regarding all the fun we had and about the fun work is when you can't focus. See you all then!!!

Wow thanks to the two of you that played along. I guess I should explain it for those who want to play but haven't. A= age S= sex not if your getting it just if you are a male or female and L= location city state whatever you are comfortable sharing. If you don't want to play I won't take it personal.

Halloween is in four days!! Want to know how I know that. No it's not because I looked at the calender. My six yr old T has had a running count for a month. No I am not kidding!! He is driving me crazy. Every night before bed he has to update me. "Mom tomorrow it will be 4 days till Halloween." Then in the morning we also get the update. My 9 yr old just rolls her eyes at me and I mumble under my breath,"Be Nice." So far she hasn't killed him. I can't wait for it to be over!! Is that bad of me?? I am working in T's class this year for the party and the teacher sent home a cute note saying that she would like all of the adults to dress up. I was in quite a panic I tell you but my friend Heather lent me a cat costume to wear so that crisis was averted.

I have changed the title 3 times now. I am really insecure I'm sure you don't care what I call it. OH well here goes.

I seem to be more awake lately and not so tired. I have been able to get up with the alarm so the morning routine seems to be going a little more smooth. Granted it's only Tuesday but I haven't been late to work at all this week.

I have been reading lots of blogs and trying to get ideas to keep mine semi interesting. One thing I came across that I thought was cool is A/S/L. I don't need your name and if you don't want to give one of the answers I understand but please play along. Since I am the one starting this I will go first. Busy weekend

It's Monday again. I had a busy weekend. Gee, I bet you couldn't tell that from the title. Friday night I met up with my friend Heather. She had a scope Friday morning and the results were not good. They think she may have some cancer in her stomach. This is very hard for her because her boyfriend is currently receiving chemo and radiation for throat cancer.
Saturday morning I walked in a 5K for breast cancer. It was alot of fun but very cold and rainy. Saturday night I had to clean the hall for our church and only slept for about 3 hours. When I got home from cleaning we packed up and met my parents for lunch in Clare. It was such a great time that I didn't even think about being tired until I got home. I slept from 5:30 till 9. Then I got up and tuck the kids in and watch the Tigers win!!! The series is now tied up!!! I hope we win. At midnight I went back to sleep only to get up at 6 this morning for work. I don't feel too tired and we have no afterschool activities tonight.
I know not a very interesting update but I will try to post again tomorrow and maybe I will be interesting then. We'll see......

I'm Trying

Well sort of anyway!! My house is always a mess. I work full time, have two kids and I can never seem to get on top of things. It seems like I always have somewhere to be or something to do. But I have made up my mind. I am going to get my house clean. But where to start you might wonder. Check out this site www.flylady.net I was reading a blog one day (I am sorry I don't remember whose) and stumbled across this. I sort of tryed it up until now but I have decided to jump in with both feet. I will try to update you with how it is turning out but if I forget remind me.

M had a field trip today and she hasn't been feeling too good lately. No call from the teacher or the school so I am assuming that everything is OK but I can't stop thinking about her. I hope she is doing alright. Drop me a line in the comments when you stop by I know it takes time but it sure makes my day to know someone is checking on me every once in a while.

f***ing Friday

Oh man if you can tell by the name it has not been a great day!!! The head secretary called in today. I was running late after my kids drug there heels all morning. I got here and the Dept. Chair was upset because he had no one to set up his meeting. I almost asked him if his legs were broke but I controlled myself!!! hehehe After setting up for his meeting and answering all the emails and voicemails left overnight for me I started work. Not one hour into it the school was calling me. M the 9 yr old had something in her eye. They couldn't see anything and were worried about pink eye. So I had to call my MIL to go check it out. She doesn't think it is pink eye but she brought M home and is having her lay with a wet washcloth on it to see if it will wash it out or something.

Good news though, M is completely healed from the broken wrists no more brace or casts. They said it healed better than they expected and she has no limits on what she can do. I have two more hours at work and probably five hours of stuff to do so I will try to update Monday. I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Thursday Thirteen

I am sorry my life is back on crazy mode.
1. I have been checking everyone's posts.
2. I am really upset that Momma Tulip is giving up! I can understand though. If someone was stealing everything I wrote I would be upset too!
3. T my first grader started getting homework this week. Trying to get two of them to sit at the table and work is quite a chore in itself.
4. October 12th and we have snow!!! YUCK
5. Tuesday night we went to the hayride and hot dog roast for school. It was alright but very loud and disorganized.
6. I am subbing for a religious Ed. class this weekend. Eighth graders I am kind of scared.
7. Today is M's last doctors appt. for her wrist. After today she should have no more braces or casts. I am soooo excited about that.
8. My hasband has been in a good mood for like three days!! In a row!!! I am waiting to find out what he did. Hahaha
9. T seems to be over being sick. Everyone is back to normal and in full swing again.
10. I have three meeting in the next week to set up for make coffee for make sure all the handouts are copied and anything else they may throw my way!!
11. My phone has not been silent for more than two minutes today.
12. I am making chicken and rice for dinner tonight. This is the first time I have known what I am making ahead of time for the last month at least.
13. I will try to be more interesting when I check in tommorow. HEHEHE

Weekend re-cap

Wow I am actually doing a recap on the day I am supposed to how crazy is that!! hehehe Anyway it was a pretty quiet weekend. My friend Heather wanted to go out Friday night for a girls night and my husband actually stayed home with the kids so I could. We left about 6:45 and went to dinner. I can see the place in my mind but can't think of the name I will post it tommorow. Any way they had these knife and fork sandwiches and I got the meatloaf sandwich it was very yummy! Then we went across the street to the Cracker Barrel and they had Yankee candles for half price!! We each got one. Then we went to the mall and couldn't believe all the kids just walking around. There were hundreds I swear. On the way home we decided to stop at the bar to shoot some pool (something I hadn't done in years). We had a blast.

We had to be up early for our haircuts Saturday. I love it I had amost five inches cut off. It is still shoulder lenth and it is so much softer and easier to manage. When we were done I went home to clean. My kids were happy to see me and I did'nt get much cleaning done but it was a good day. My husband's favorite football team (Michigan) beat the rival team (Michigan State) so he was in a great mood.

Sunday I went to my grandma's and hung out with her for a couple of hours. She seems to be gettting along pretty good. She talked alot about Grandpa but just remembering the fun times. It was great to hear the stories she was telling. My mother in law bought M an angel costume for Halloween now we just have to work on T's costume he doesn't know what he wants to be yet. Because they go to Catholic school it has to be not scary and they push saints etc. We will have to see what I come up with. If you have any ideas please feel free to share them.

Today is picture day at school they were so cute. I can't wait for the pictures to come back.

Friday Fourteen

I have never done one of these before but I thought I would give it a whorl...

1. Took son to doctor yesterday. Double ear infection.

2. No school today for the kids. Teacher's inservice day.

3. Thank god for Mother-in-laws. She has the kids today.

4. Two sick days at work this week alone. A ton of stuff to do.

5. A great boss. Understands when I have to take two sick days in a week.

6. Voicemail at work. Great when you are completly swamped and really don't feel like dealing with it. hehehe

7. Boy this is harder than I thought it would be. Fourteen is alot.

8. It's Friday so it really can't be all that bad. We can put up with anything for one day!!

9. Dr. John and his monthly marathon always cheers me up.

10. If I could only read one blog it would be Dr. John's.

11. I really should be working instead of playing online.

12. My son is feeling much better today. I just called him at Grandma's and he sounds wonderful. That makes me feel so much better.

13. Tommorow I am going to a Salon for the first time ever to get my hair cut. No more Fantastic Sam's for me.

14. I hope you all have a great weekend. Mine was rocky last week so I figure I'm do a fun one this week.

Weekend recap

Yes I know it's Tuesday. I was home sick yesterday so I was unable to come do a recap then. Sick seemed to be the word of the weekend. Not my family just all of my friends. On Friday night after work I stayed home with the kids. Nothing exciting happened. Saturday my DH went to the store and bought a bunch of driveway sealer. Of course that was as far as that went. I guess he felt buying it was a good start. I had to take M to her first Girl Scout meeting of the year. She had a great time. When she was done we went to my friend Heather's house we were going to take her daughter and mine shopping. As we were pulling out of the driveway. Heather started to get real dizzy and not feeling good at all!! Ended up going to one store for about five minutes then turning around and coming home. I took her daughter home with me and the girls played for a couple of hours then her daughter came up to me saying she didn't feel very good and I felt her head and she was burning up. I took her home and her and mom went to Urgent care together. Guess what!! They both had Strep. Yep and she played at our house GREAT!!!!! Skip to Sunday. T had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and he had a great time. I did too since all I did was drop him off and pick him back up three hours later. Then on my way home my cell rang I had another of my friends begging me to watch her two boys for a couple of hours. She is a single mom and had had it. So T and I went and sat with her two wild boys I had had it by the time she got back. I could understand why she need a break! Boy if you are still reading I am amazed!!! hehehe
I woke up feeling horrible Monday morning and all I could think was strep!! After sitting in the couch all day crying over the horrible tragedy in Penn. with the Amish children getting killed I started to feel a little better. I made a big dinner, chicken, stuffing, potatoes and gravy. I fell into bed at 9:30 (yes early for me) I woke up feeling much better this morning. Maybe I was just run down from all of the running from the weekend.

Everything seems much better now and thank you if you actually read all of that. If you leave me a comment I promise to visit your site. Thanks for all the support I have out there!!!!

Revived

Thanks to those that commented I now feel revived. I have been spending lots of time reading others blogs and I am ready to try again.

M and T (my kids) have kept me running quite a bit in the last couple of weeks and the cold that everyone seems to be getting has hit my home. T got it first he missed two days of school and even though he is only in first grade he had lots of homework to make up. M missed one day of school and was doing extra homework everyday this week to make up for it. She told me she never wants to miss another day so I am excited to hear that. Last year she was always saying she had a tummyache so she wouldn't have to go to school. This year she loves her teacher and class and doesn't want to miss anything. Yeah!!!!

T has a birthday party to go to on Sunday at Chuck E. Cheese. Luckily I only have to drop him off and go back and get him because I would probably go insane if I had to stay there for two hours.

I will try to update two or three times a week please feel free to ask me anything in your comments I am always looking for thing to blog about.

Again thank you for lifting my spirits and I will try to return the favor someday when someone else is down.

The sounds of crickets chirping...
Well, I promised myself that if no one seemed interested in my blog I would quit. I haven't gotten a comment in forever. So here goes, If you ever stop by to check on me please leave me a comment. I will give it till October 1 if I get even one comment I will continue on.
My life is pretty normal. I have two great kids. If you read the posts before this one you will learn my daughter M is very accident prone. She broke both of her wrists in August. On Thursday she is getting the last cast off. I can't wait.

My son T has just started first grade at a Catholic school and had a rough first couple of weeks but now he seems excited to go to school and he has been invited to a birthday bowling party for this weekend.

I have a really tough time figuring out what to write so if anyone wants to know anything I can turn it into a post.

Boy do I sound desprate or what???

M is much better

Sorry I forgot to mention the M now has only one cast and that is coming off on the 21st. She is back to her normal self except she still has to take a bath instead of a shower she asked me last night during her bath if the day she gets her cast off can she please have a shower. LOL talk about a run on sentence hehe. I told her she definatly could. Mom can't wait either.

Schools back

And I couldn't be more excited. I am really making an effort this year to keep the kids on a routine. So far so good!! Believe it or not! We are setting out clothes the night before and I am packing lunches while they eat breakfast. Unbelievable my kids are actually eating breakfast at home. They now go to before school daycare and I can't afford $2.00 each every day so we are actually getting up and eating every day.

My son got picked to be the star student of the week this week which means we had to print off pictures and glue them on posterboard and tell about the pictures. Really cute!! He was so proud to be the first one picked for the whole year.

Hopefully I will be able to update more often. I was so embarrassed when Dr. John had his marathon and everyone was reading month old posts. Oh well, life goes on hopefully I will be better prepared for next months.

I'm Back

Sorry I have been really crazy busy lately. I am so glad things are starting to slow back down. Just in time for school to start. Everything seems to be back to normal with my Grandma now that Grandpa is gone. She now has time to go out and enjoy herself. My mom is still a little torn up but I think that is to be expected.

I had a great lunch with my aunt and grandma the day before my aunt went back to Colorado. We went to a resturant called Olga's. They serve gyros. I think it is lamb meat but I am not sure. I tasted good though.

M has a cast on her left hand and a removable brace on the other. Both wrists broken!! No fun.

M and T start school the day after labor day!!! Today we go to the school to meet the teachers and turn in all the school supplies. I will try to update with my thoughts tommorow.

Crazy.... my life(and maybe me)

Hi everyone. My life has been pretty crazy the last two weeks. Sorry I haven't had time to update. First, my grandfather passed away. I was pretty close to him so it was really hard on me. But, I know he is now free of pain so I am looking at the bright side. Three days after he passed away my daughter M fell off of a slide and broke both of her wrists. My life has been really crazy!!!! Anyway, in the next couple of days I will try to update more with stories from the funeral. My brother and sister-in-law stayed at our house one night and I got to hear lots of stories from them. My two nephews were there including the one that is two months old and this is the first time I got to see him. I even held him and fed him and burped him. Boy what a cutie!!! I hope to be able to download some pictures but it might take me a while to figure it out so don't hold your breath waiting.

Thirteen Things that stress out Candy

1. My grandfather who is in Hospice care(not doing too good either)

2. My grandmother who pretends everything is ok

3. Private school costs so much

4. Being behind on our mortgage.

5. My car could break down at any time.

6. My husband who thinks he is the most important thing in the universe.

7. What to make for dinner tonight.

8. How many school supplies can two children need???

9. Working full-time and trying to still be a good mom.

10. Trying to keep sane when your mother calls at 8 PM crying because her dad is so sick.

11. Trying to make sure everyone is happy including myself

12. This is harder than I thought it would be.

13. Try planning a funeral for someone who is still with us and getting my grandma, my mom, my aunt and everyone else to agree on the arrangements.

Really reading back over this it sounds really bad but it is not. I love my family but they just push me in too many directions some times. I told my husband that Saturday night was my time he is in charge of the kids and I am not answering my phone for anyone. We will see how it goes.

Today is my 30th Birthday! Boy do I feel old!! I remember when I thought my mother was old when she turned 30!! oh well, Your only as old as you feel right!! Boy the exclamation points are flying today.

This weekend was a nice quiet weekend. I didn't go anywhere I just stayed home and relaxed. The house is pretty much cleaned up and I am reading Strangers by Dean Koontz. So far it is pretty good. I should finish it by next weekend. I will let you know how it is.

My mom and dad are taking me out to dinner tonight and my department is taking me out to lunch. Boy will I be gaining lots of weight today! I will try to update near the end of the week to let you know what goodies I have gotten for my special day!!

What a crazy week!! Monday started off nice and slow. I made the assumption it would be a slow week. I couldn't have been more wrong!! Monday night we had seven kids in our pool and had a great time!! Tuesday night the number was down to six. Wednesday it was down to four. Last night it rained so no one was in it!!

Today is my dad's Birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!!!!! I just called to wish him,"Happy Birthday" but he was outside. My mom told me that they will be coming to visit on Tuesday which by the way is MY BIRTHDAY!!! She said they want to take hubby and I out for dinner for my big 0 Birthday and by me a drink. I am kind of excited!!

Work has been extremely busy this week!! Everybody thinks I am the only one that can do anything around here so my in box is overflowing!! That being said I should probably get back to work huh??

I will try to do a Monday recap of my weekend. Nothing planned so far!! See ya then.

Hi it's been a great weekend this week! Friday I went and picked up the kids on the way home from work! I took them home and packed their bags. They went to one of my neighbors for the night. My husband left and visited with a friend of his till 11 PM. I could not believe how quiet the house was it was great!!! Saturday I woke up and started cleaning. My MIL called at noon and to tell me that Kohl's was having a big sale on school uniforms!! So I ran over and picked up the kids and met her there. She ended up spending $200.00 on my kids but they are almost completely ready to start school. What a great day!! We got home at 4:30 and my friend Heather was there. She wanted a night out without the guys. So after talking it over with hubby she and I decided to go down to the bar. She picked me up at 9:30 and I told my husband I would probably be home around 11 or 12. Weeellll, Heather ended up carrying me in about 2:15. I had a great night. There were lots of people we knew there and we danced all night!! I think I need to get out more often! I moved pretty slow Sunday but it was still a good day. Heather and Mark came over and had dinner with us and we finally filled the pool. When we get home tonight it will be ready to jump in!! The kids were brave and jumped in last night but it was freezing cold!! Today at work is slow so I hope to be able to write more later!!

Thursday's trinkets

Well this week is slowly inching along. It really has not been a bad week just slow!!! Hub has not drank the last two nights. I am anxiously awaiting the weekend to see if he makes it through without a drink. My sitter is taking HER kids to Mich. Adventure tomorrow so the in-laws are taking my kids. They are so excited. T,"Mom do you think grandma will take us out to lunch tomorrow?" Me, "probably she usually does, right?" M,"Well, If she does I'm picking were we go because you picked last time" I swear everything is a fight for that girl!!! Anyway, Really nothing exciting here. I will try to update my weekend on Monday again as my weekends seem to be the most exciting time I have right now!!! lol This weekend should be a cleaning weekend but I will probably take the kids to the park or the beach or something so they don't make me insane. Any ideas on were to take kids for very, very cheap??

Weekend recap

Yes I know it's Tuesday but once you hear about my weekend you will understand.

Friday Night- M spent the night at grandma's because we still didn't know if we were going to TC for the family reunion and grandma was definatly going so she stayed there in case they left super early. I was in bed by 9:30.

Saturday morning I was up by 7 am. Yes that is early for me on a Saturday but not knowing what we were doing I got up early. In the shower at 7:45 and I can hear someone knocking on the front door. I go running out with a towel wrapped around me and it's my mother in law. She hands me $50.00 and says hope this helps you come to TC today. Go wake up the husband and he says fine we will go for a couple of hors. On the road by 9 and get there at 12:15. Had a blast while we were there! He cousin Tina is so funny we were making fun of everyone and the food was fantastic. Left there at 4:30 got home at 8. Hubby took off for his friends house so I crawled in bed at 9:30 again two nights in a row!!

Sunday T woke me up at 7 am can you believe it my last chance to sleep in on the weekend and he is waking me up because he wants a drink I almost killed him. We went to the in-laws at 9:30 for breakfast and ended up sitting around talking for three hours. It was actually pretty nice. Ran home dropped off the husband and kids then headed to my grandma's house. She wanted me to sit with Grandpa while she ran to the store real quick(yeah right see if I belive her again) lol.
Three hours later she came home. Grandpa was sleeping most of the time but when he was awake he was really confused. It is so hard to see him like that. I finally got home around 4 and my friend had called to see if I could come over to chit chat. Went to her house around 7 till 8:30. Get home and T come in the house and tells me his head hurts so I take him into my room and let him lay on my bed to watch some TV. At nine while I'm on the phone having M come home for the night He runs past me into the bathroom and starts puking. He starts screaming so I go running in to help him. "Mommy it's coming out of my mouth and my nose!!" He was so miserable!! Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. I called in to work yesterday and I made the kids sit and watch movies for most of the day!! At 5 pm they were driving me crazy so I let them go out and play. I made dinner then we all packed up and ran across town to visit with our old neighbor. We had a great time!!. Home and in bed by ten.

Tuesday- Up at six to get everyone ready for the day. It went without a hitch until I was loading the kids bikes to take to the sitter and I slammed my thumb between the two bikes OUCH!!!!! Believe me I said a lot of words my kids shouldn't have heard!! Now my thumb nail is all purple and it hurts like hell!!! I get into work with a ton of work waiting for me and I have been going non stop since. Well lunch is over so back to the old grind stone!! It's Friday!!!! I am so tired of work! It's been a crazy week. My husband is still cranky but seems determined to not drink! I am so excited. Any way not much is new in my life. Still don't know if we are going to TC tomorrow. Work has been steady but no one is here today so I really haven't been doing very much. I will write on Monday to fill you all in on how the weekend went and if my hubby is still determined or not! Sorry I haven't written much lately! My hubby has decided to try things my way! Scary isn't it. He has not had a drink since Sunday. He is a real grouch but I am trying to be supportive but for some one who used to drink a six-pack a night this is really wonderful!! Now if I can just get him to act like a normal human being. The kids have figured out that both mommy and daddy are having a bad week so they are being great!!! I decided I am going to take them to McDonald's tonight so they can play. This weekend we are going to hubby's family reunion the kids are really excited about it. Me not so much!!! It is that time of the month and with a crabby husband and three hours each way to get there doesn't even sound like fun to me. But it's what he wants to do so who am I to stop him. Hopefully things are finally turning around for me and hopefully the mood of my blog will improve. Oh, by the way, T lost his first tooth last Friday it is the front one on top he looks so darn cute and he loves to show it off!! The long weekend!!!!

What a crazy weekend!!! My husband and I have been fighting like cats and dogs!!! I had a migraine on Monday and wasn't able to accomplish anything! So much for getting my house clean. I have been reading several bloggers. I would like to say they are a much higher caliper then me!! Did I even spell that right?? Anyway, M is back from Avalache Bay. I was so happy to see her. She had such a great time she even got to sleep in the same room as her best friend. She got to see the Mackinaw Bridge for the first time in her life!! She has lots of pictures and once I get them developed I will try to figure out how to get them on here!! T spent most of the weekend at the neighbors house playing. He got a little sun and looks soooo cute!! Work has been just crazy!! One of our secretaries transfered to a different department, they were supposed to replace her by now and we found out yesterday that they are not going to replace her they are just having me do more!!! Less time playing online more time working!!! Gee, am I excited. lol. Anyway, Still no comments from anybody maybe today huh?

My little girl is gone

M is gone!!! Don't worry she will be back on Saturday night but I just can't get over how peaceful it is while she is gone. M and her girl scout troop went to Avalanche Bay an indoor waterpark 4 hours away!! I am sure she is having a blast!! T's loving that his sister is gone. Last night not only did he get mac-n-cheese for dinner he also got to pick the kind of kool-aid I made. Boy is he in heaven!! I miss having her around to help, but the fighting between the two of them really needed a break!! Three day work week this week due to the Fourth. I love it!! I wish every week only had three days of work and four days to lay around!! haha like I actually ever am able to lay around what a joke!!! Will write more on Monday!!!

This is a very short intro to me!! Let me know if you want any other info! I am currently married although thinking seriously about divorce. Have two great kids. The reason the divorce hasn't happened yet!! A huge morgage!! I work full-time and I love to read blogs.
